first producer certified in Bordeaux
In August 2019, the Cooperative Winery of Rauzan obtained the certification “Winegrowers in Sustainable Development” which makes us the first and only producer certified in Bordeaux. We thus join the collective already gathering 6,100 winegrowers of France and present in almost all the wine regions of France.
What is Winegrowers in sustainable development?
Winegrowers in Sustainable Development is the first CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) label in the wine industry created 10 years ago, committed to respecting People and Environment from vineyard to glass. An approach based on exigent specifications and a global vision, which takes into account all environmental and societal issues, at the vineyard and in the winery. An approach recognized and audited by an independent control body.
The logo on our bottles is a strong and meaningful sign of commercial differentiation for the consumer, in French and in English. Indeed more than 80% of wine consumers say they are sensitive to sustainable development!
